Jensine (Yen-See Nah) Larsen is an award-winning social media entrepreneur, international journalist, and speaker. At age 28 she founded World Pulse – a digital media network connecting women worldwide and bringing them a global voice – after working as a freelance journalist covering indigenous movements and ethnic cleansing in South America and Southeast Asia. Today World Pulse is powered by tens of thousands of women from more than 190 countries, many who are using internet cafes and cell phones from rural villages and conflict zones, collectively improving the lives of 7.6 million people. www.worldpulse.com
"With her finger on the pulse of women's voices globally Jensine speaks around the world on the power of technology to accelerate women's global empowerment. She has appeared in media and on stages such as: BBC, NPR, TED, WebVisions, Clinton Global Initiative, Social Innovation Summit, Social Good Summit, and Skoll World Forum. She is also the recipient of multiple awards and recognitions including the Rockefeller 100 game changers and the Tribeca Innovative Disruptor fellowship. In 2018 Jensine was awarded the United Nations Media Social Impact Award. In 2015 Jensine became a fellow of the Academy for Systemic Change - a ten year fellowship training the planet's next generation of system change leaders."
The day begins with coffee and conversation and keynote presentation by Jensine Larsen of World Pulse. Following the coffee reception and keynote address, full-day attendees will break out into workshops and a group panel discussion led by local and regional facilitators. The afternoon programming will focus on various aspects of connection: technology, between genders, inner self, creativity, and community.
